Home is what you call the place you play
Home is what you try to build around you
Home is what you find comfort in
When is home?
Home is when you can rest from the day
Home is when you're allowed to let your mind drift away
Home is when you find a place you belong
Where is home?
Home is where you can cry yourself to sleep
Home is where you can hold loved ones close
Home is where you can stop for the day
Who is home?
Home is who holds you in good times and bad
Home is who you share your inner dreams with
Home is who quiets the inner voice
Why is home?
Home is why you struggle for a dime
Home is why we fight, struggle, and cry
Home is why you don't just wonder into the night
Home is all around us in whatever form
Home can be any time or any place
Home is wherever you carry your heart to
Home is whoever holds you close
Home is why we get up every day

Day 4 of Quitting
If this is how sobriety feels, maybe it’s better to go through life a little buzzed… this, along with other hits like, I want to kill myself, I wish I was dead, and I’m going to throw myself off a bridge have been the only thoughts on rotation these past few days. I promise myself that if, in a month, I still feel like this (‘this’ meaning despondent, full of rage, and simultaneously numb) I can go back to smoking. Until mid-February though? Nicotine is off the table.
