Set my Lonely on Fire
Burn my heart, build a love from the ashes

You set my heart a blaze,
Burning my lonely,
Warming my soul,
Melting melancholy,
Turning copper to gold.
The last of the ashes,
A life left behind,
Scorched isolation,
Newly refined.
Your flame shedding light,
Your eyes glowing like embers,
The spark of your smile,
Brings a warmth to November.
I'm so glad that I met you,
You're everything I desire,
I'm so glad that I met you,
And got lost in your fire.

Beautiful fiery love poem ♥︎
A poem of rebirth and youth. Very beautiful and written with natural ease.:)
This poem feels like stepping into a firelit room after a long winter. So comforting and bright.
Loved this! Super warm and sweet—the whole “turning copper to gold” line hits beautifully. Kinda makes me want to curl up by a bonfire and fall in love with the sparks. ✨
This has such great power and passion and I like the way you made certain words bold.
