Serpents Whisper

Her Manipulation

By Mercedes ChavezPublished about a year ago 1 min read

Words were said, though not spoken directly from your lips

The serpents lies sound so real

It is so hard to ignore

So hard to forget

When the words keep repeating over and over again

I tell myself not to listen

But I see the words spelled out every time I close my eyes

Her words, venom spit from her lips

Causing damage that takes time to heal from

Heart is heavy and I feel as though I cannot breathe

Her words, not yours...

But you never agreed or disagreed

Was it pure manipulation?

Or was there truth behind it?
