Banishing the venom of the waters

Here on the shore, my wish came true

Here in the mud that dries to clay

Across the forks of coursing blue

And twisting spirits in the spray

I found a strength like Jericho

my voice rang out like battlecry

And soon a chorus joined the flow

commanding unclean spirits fly

Our verdict wove a tapestry

Rebuke the foe with holy thread

The mountain’s echo our decree

Go unto the fire instead

A serpent coiled in the sun

It’s life is spent, and missed by none

About the Creator

Thomas Speer

I'm a God-fearing tumbleweed of a man, a gentle husband, loving foster parent, screwed up past and amazingly ordained future serving the Lord and expressing his revelation in my writing. Don't expect the dry and sanctimonious, though.
