Serendipity

Be mindful, and savor exciting things

I love exploring nature,

and mindfulness is key

to savor the spectacles.

When you pay attention,

you are blessed with serendipity

those accidental happy surprises.

Let me share two examples:

Once, I was riding my bicycle

down a dirt road

between two lakes

on a rainy evening.

Something jumped in front of me—

it was a mudfish.

Another time,

we were out exploring

our leafy neighborhood

on a summer day,

and a monarch butterfly

fluttered right by us.

I have plethora of

exciting experiences—

for I was mindful.

Serendipity has truly

enriched my life.
