Not a Successful Love Story

Your luminescence fractured my solitude,

twinkling like lanterns against the dusk,

a soft whisper of silk and stars:

moons woven in Twilight’s embrace.

Together, we harvested whispers

from the ocean’s sigh,

tangled our fingers in currents;

danced along the shoreline

where our laughter etched heartbeats

into the sand—

then time, like a tide,

pulled us to distant shores,

leaving behind echoes

of our entwined dreams,

scattered like seashells,

waiting for the next wave

to carry them back.
