Sensory essence
An intimate experience

Nothing we use or hear or touch can be expressed in words that equal what is given by the senses.
Hannah Arendt, 1906–1975

I am thankful for the unknown as I explore new surroundings.
Finally, alone, I celebrate the comfort of the serenity of solitude.
Cool, thick, heavy raindrops distract me from my mindful footfalls.
I capture moments of the glistening silver and relish beatitude.
And now is the time, with sweet relief, to savour sublime earthbound renewal.

Love the simplicity here, Pauline. As well as your atmospheric chosen images! ☺️
This is so refreshing and serene! I could feel those cool, heavy raindrops so vividly <3
Nice serene poem. I wish they included the other three senses- proprioception, vesicular and interception
There is such a peaceful feel to this, your words flowed trough every line. I like the delocate touch of adding the word 'Finally" in this sentance it cahnges the entire structure. 'Finally, alone, I celebrate the comfort of the serenity of solitue.'
love this
