Life has taken away

all my senses

like that of alcohol

effects of booze reside

for a short period

but your intoxication

doesn't want to go away

it is stuck with me

like a newborn

sticks to her mother

my mind finds no way

to get around you

it keeps coming back

like a moth who is

attracted to the flame

I know this isn't going to

do any good to me

but this is the only

thing that my heart wants

earlier my mind and

heart worked in sync

but it seems like

their ecosystems have changed

deciding not to comply

with each other each other…
