It seems like bliss.
Ask anyone - they’ll swear,
You'll know true love.
*
Who doesn’t love love?
And honestly,
you could use some -
after where you’ve been.
*
Tiny and fine,
measured by milestones,
and you think you know.
*
You do love -
with touch,
with time,
with everything.
*
You see echoes -
same grin, same silence.
You can't help it.
*
And you remember,
you never knew love at all.
No comparison.
*
Look what you’ve built.
They carry your strength like a weapon,
and aim
*
Why do we have them
when they turn out just like us,
and we hate ourselves?
*
So let them watch.
Let them see you love yourself.
