Send the Stars to Bed

I don't have te strength to want,

to discover places I can't reach.

To build goals upon the mountains

and try enough to beseech.

-

Desire pulls me down,

teaches me of my power.

Tells me of my potential,

and reminds me of my cower.

-

Stomp the hills to be flat,

Still the waves to be dead.

Clench the blossoms closed,

Send the stars to bed.

-

Shut my eyes to underground,

Relieve eternity of its task.

Shut the world out of its joy,

Kill my heart till it won't ask.

Wow such a beautiful way to describe the pain of desiring something and longing but also losing hope to achieve it.
