Selfish Kind of Love

There Hasn't Been a Day

By Diana HarrisPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

There hasn't been a day

that I don't think about you -

about us.

I think of what could have been if we'd shared

and of

what might have been if you'd cared

enough to stop "just" thinking

about You.

There hasn't been a day

that I've stopped believing that a relationship

is a We.

I think of how thankful I am that I still

have Me.

And, I didn't give that up

just to have You.

There hasn't been a day

that I've regretted saying goodbye

to a

selfish kind of Love.
