Seeing Beauty

As only we do

Without thought, I whisper. Feeling the need, lest I break the spell.

This seemingly perfect scene, my eyes feasting on it’s beauty.

How easily it takes me in, replenishing my spirit.

Immersing myself in this natural aphrodisiac, the scene scours away all that grime of living.

Here, I could stay. Addicted to the serenity it unconsciously offers.

Do we alone sense beauty? Does the hummingbird see the flower as something beautiful or simply food?

How lucky we are to have this. How easily most just accept it without a thought.

Never a thought as to just how lucky we are to have the capacity for such feelings.

Are our emotions an anomaly?
