Seeds of my mind

Poem by Nyx

By NyxPublished 6 months ago 1 min read

Deeply seeded and hardly watered

My thoughts reside planted in my mind without care

Sunlight hardly touches the leaves the same way my skin barely sees the sun

I am sheltered and it's all my own doing

Most days I don't leave my home and I blame it on the lack of necessity

But who am I kidding

I am no simple house plant given to a newcomer of plant owning

I need water

I need sunlight

I need love

I love this. Living in the darkness means we're unable to grow. And those last few lines hit the heart. Well-written, Nyx!
