Echoes of the Past

If walls could talk, what echoes ring,

Of memories long gone, but not forgot,

Of moments lost, that silence bring.

***

The walls, if they could speak, would sing,

Of yesteryears and tales they wrought.

If walls could talk, what echoes ring.

***

They'd speak of love, and all it brings,

Of laughter, joy, and lessons taught,

Of moments lost, that silence bring.

***

They'd whisper of forgotten things,

Of broken hearts, and battles fought.

If walls could talk, what echoes ring.

***

They'd tell of times that passed like spring,

Of summers gone, and lessons sought,

Of moments lost, that silence bring.

***

Their stories, like a bird with wing,

Would fly away, but not forgot.

If walls could talk, what echoes ring,

Of moments lost, that silence bring.
