secret garden

where i take root

By Sara LittlePublished 12 months ago 1 min read

I trace my name in the dust;

no need for softer hands than mine—

teach the soil to

forget the fallow time;

I bloom where I am planted,

water my roots with kindness,

honor my weeds for their resilience

and know—

this garden grows

from seeds of my own grace

    Such a beautiful, grounded piece! The imagery of nurturing yourself and embracing all parts of growth—like the weeds—is so powerful. Really love the vibe of self-compassion and resilience.
