The iridescent light in my periphery is a little uncomfortable.

It is reminiscent, however, of an all-too-familiar presence that inevitably exists this time of year.

I am not prepared to relive such events just yet.

However, this particular cycle waits for no one. It is coldly clever that way.

This feels like the anticipation of change, but an unwelcome one. Lots of questions left dangling for the reader- the lights, the presence, the events. Topical for Autumn Brett!

  • So poignant yet so beautiful. Loved it!
