Sea deep Pain

Thrown to the sea

Pain is something too deep to feel.

It's easier to let it be.

to stuff every emotion that could have been real

to the deepest waves of the sea.

-

To watch it them twist and turn

somewhere outside of me.

And to wash away the fleeting burn

with fantastical reality.

-

Curse it, when it turns to rage

And blinds from seeing right.

It uniquely never withers with age

and only bloodies the fight.

-

The people only make it worse

with words of truth that sting.

The notes of pain and rage converse

till they forget how to sing.

-

Tears no longer threaten to spill,

they've grown outdated and old.

With hearts that have long gone still

and reek of soil and mold.

-

Never in a million years

do I find the courage to cry.

Poor little heart, all it bears

will have to stay with it till I die.
