I always told her,

she was like the sea.

Her eyes shone bright in the sunshine,

magnificent shades of blue,

turquoise.

When the weather turned grey,

her eyes became silver,

mesmerising still.

Whatever the weather,

I wanted to swim in those eyes.

They were deep, entrancing, inviting.

Through them,

I found myself lost in her ocean

Calm,

beautiful,

phosphorescent.

while simultaneously,

powerful,

ferocious,

unstoppable.

A force to be reckoned with,

and,

a place to call home.
