the sensen meets the sensei
By Katherine D. GrahamPublished about a year ago • Updated about a year ago • 1 min read

Visual senses detect exoteric emotions elicited by a divine force.
The smell of the essence of a great teacher, the sensei, entices the sensen.
The taste the newly born chemicals pass through each synapse.
Nerves reach in anticipation of a touch, evoking contact and connection.
The body sounds with a umami nous force, exceeding the sum of the parts.

My stories usually present facts, supported by science as we know it, that are often spoken of in myths. Both can help survival in an ever-changing world.

Dear Katherine ~ I'm not the least bit 'deep' with my Silly Shorts and Goofy sketches - But, with our similar free hand drawings we outta team up...Hmm! j.in.l.a.
brilliant
Deep and emotive poetry.
I will enjoy this poem for a long time. There's so much here.
I do tend toward broader meditations. I did not want the poem to be limited to one event -- the erotic a baby, a flower, dung, and even the subtle scent of dopamine can elicit a complex " unami" that displays the greek nous- defined by Brittanica: "nous, in philosophy, the faculty of intellectual apprehension and of intuitive thought. Used in a narrower sense, it is distinguished from discursive thought and applies to the apprehension of eternal intelligible substances and first principles. It is sometimes identified with the highest or divine intellect. Thank you for reading and your insightful response.
I’m curious—what inspired you to focus on these sensory elements? Was it a specific experience, or perhaps a broader meditation on how we interact with the world around us? Thank you for sharing such a beautiful, introspective piece. I look forward to reading more of your work!
