Reading, Writing and Arithmetic

but not really now it's

Language Arts, Science and Social studies and

mathematics along with the creative arts, health

and physical education and then afterschool

activities like music, art, and sports of all kinds,

but then with all that

don't forget to do your homework.

Rulers, protractors, calculators and computers.

Ahh, do not forget about cultural diversity rules and

wearing face masks and sitting behind shields, maybe.

You never know what about doing wrong and the

reason for detentions and suspensions;

better hope not for that leads to parent/teacher

conferences.

School days have come along way from

the old song 'School days' with reading, writing and arithmetic

taught to the tune of the hickory stick.
