SCARLET

Tyler Jones

I gaze upon a feast of color,

The rainbow doesn’t define me anymore,

Thoughts crawling in dark imagination,

Deep blue nights awake everlasting euphoria.

Bright sun rays displayed before us,

Igniting a wide range of emotions,

The kaleidoscope reveals the waves of our majestic lilac dreams,

Her skin was as delicate and innocent as an angel’s wings.

Golden strands of her hair gently caress her plump lips,

Popping like bubblegum pink,

My heart, crimson and lively,

Beats to the sound of her sweet melody.

Amethyst flowers bloom in the cerulean summer sky,

Emerald forests call her name,

And our soul intertwines,

Dancing in the flames as the fire in our bones burns.

Eyes darting as the judgment of our love crumbles like an empire,

Two girls rose to victory wearing ivory as charcoal smoke fills our rosy lungs,

The silver sky cries down before our very eyes,

For the stars join in harmony and illuminates the ferocious sea where we reside.

Opportunity strikes once more,

Our paths merge together and we distrust the laws of the universe,

To live in a world with love so pure,

Hand in hand as our memories stay vivid beyond the arches of the heavens.

She is beautiful and merciless,

Her lashes fluttering in pure ecstasy as she grabs my hand,

Together we can do anything,

For our love is stronger than the spite the world has forced upon us.
