Let us save the water! It's blue, it's cool
Whose is to blame? We can't live without it
I do my best all day, I'm not a fool

Water is everywhere, a big cool pool
Think about it and just sit for a bit
Let us save the water! It's blue, it's cool

Oceans, rivers, lakes are not a cesspool
Some people and companies will admit
I do my best all day, I am not a fool

And what about sinkholes? For sure, are cruel
Related to fracking, I had a fit
Let us save the water! It's blue, it's cool

Spills, they drill, what a bill, please overrule
Who pays for leaks, under creeks that sit
I do my best all day, I am not a fool

Water tastes like a pill, kills, make a rule
People hurt, we assert, greed, use your wit
Let us save the water! It's blue, it's cool

Great poem in defense of water, Denise! So often we just take it for granted because we think water is an unlimited resource when it clearly is not.
We do need to save our water :) And our land, our animals, each other, everything really. We should be stewards of this planet not destroyers :( Great piece, Denise
