Save the Last Dance

Senryu Story

By Andrew C McDonaldPublished 9 months ago 1 min read

Once bright shining silk

Haunted ghosts of memory

By withered hands stroked

…………..

Tattered lace ribbons

Shredded by times vagaries

Adorn her prom dress

…….

Blooded knife held tight

Grasped in arthritic knuckles

Just one final song

……….

One macabre waltz

Across crimson stained dance floor…

Sweet Memory plays
