Sarcoline & Emerald
A glorified acceptance of queerness

Studiously, I hold up the mirror,
Anamoured by what I see,
Radiant defects
Curiously never deflect
Our transcendent truth.
Lonely as we are, like stars within
Inexorable galaxies,
Never again will I run away from my
Enigmatic and glorious self.
&
Enlighten me, wise mirror;
Make me my own muse.
Encapsulate my queerness,
Rectify my blues.
Alas- you make things clearer,
Leaving me much nearer to
Dangerously becoming myself: emerald within a sarcoline shell.
