A woman takes her revenge

On the streets of New Orleans

there is a woman on the hunt

for men to rip apart

hoping to be washed clean

of her own personal trauma

with a running river of red

***

Many will never understand

why did she choose to follow

in the bloody footprints

of one Jack the Ripper

maybe it was because

of the possible mutual connection

of two victims who suffered

at the hands of the opposite sex

***

If only you knew her story

of how a Mardi Gras night turned sour

she was presumed promiscuous

because of the beads she wore

her living nightmare was downplayed

she wanted it,

she was such a tease

a ‘good kid’ didn’t deserve to be accused

of such a thing as rape

and because of men like that

she could never get the help she deserved

I was going through some old poems saved on my computer and I noticed a folder called "Based On..." where I found some poetry I wrote based on musicals and episodes. I will posting a few of these throughout the course of the week for all of you to enjoy.

Criminal Minds' Sarah Danlin from S2E18

This poem is based on the Unsub/unknown subject/bad person of Criminal Mind's episode Jones. There are few unsubs on this show that I am emphatic to, and this one is one of the few. This doesn't mean I agree with the fact she going around killing, but once you hear her story, it definitely makes you feel for her.

Here is another one for your to enjoy.
