Sandcastles of Make-Believe
Fists full of sand, stolen light,
stack it up, get it right.
Edges crisp, towers tall,
salty wind grin, I know the fall.
Footsteps gone, names don’t stay,
tide rolls in, takes it away.
I don’t beg, I don’t plead,
let it sink, I still believe.
It drags, it drowns, it pulls apart.
I build again. I know my art.

Ah, to be a sandcastle artist. Don't forget to take a photo before the tide rolls in and takes it away. Good job.
Agh sandcastles. Love this. You nailed it.
