Same time, same place,
Same stuff, same space,
The calm amid the storm,
In a mind diverging from the norm.
Rise and shine,
For coffee time.
Don't touch that mug!
You know it's mine!
Hands off my dish,
Hands off my spoon,
We can't leave now,
It's way too soon!
What you call boring,
What you call lame,
Are things I need,
To keep me sane.
Frenetic ramblings in my head,
In the absence of routine,
A vicious torture deep inside,
Sharply felt but never seen.
Comfort in things mundane.
Safety in the land of same,
It's really just the way I am,
I no longer feel any shame.
Same time, same place,
Same stuff, same space,
A precious calm amid the storm,
For my mind divergent from the norm.
