Cease a glimpse of breathing warmth
For it is salt water to my thirst.
Better to forget all of good
Then to miss it till the yearn will burst.
-
In hunger, food stings the eye,
Like horizons glazed in dreams, unreached.
And a never ending costs of wants
Too barricaded to be beseeched.
-
Where metal locks tie hearts in chains,
For lack of strength to try to see.
Blindness sheds responsibility,
And mocks what minds are meant to be.
-
Cease a glimpse of breathing warmth,
Lock it in eternal night.
Too bright for my darkened plight,
Is joy’s gleeful stream of light.
