The Price We Pay for Each Other's Hearts
The road to love is paved with sacrifice,
With every step a price we pay,
A willingness to give our all,
To find the one who'll stay.
We give up time and energy,
We give up things we hold so dear,
We give up pieces of ourselves,
To show our love is sincere.
We sacrifice our stubbornness,
Our egos and our pride,
We learn to compromise and bend,
So we can walk side by side.
We sacrifice our independence,
Our freedom to roam and roam,
We choose to stay and build a life,
With the one who feels like home.
For love is not a one-way street,
It takes two to make it work,
And every sacrifice we make,
Is a step towards a love that's worth.
So let us give our hearts in full,
And let love be our guiding light,
For every sacrifice we make,
Is a step towards a love that's right.
