Rusted Iron Bolt

A haiku

By Seema PatelPublished 8 months ago 1 min read
Rusted iron bolt @Seema

With time, wear and tear,

is the ultimate fate—

even for an iron bolt.

Note: The bolts support the pillars of a pier in the Pacific Ocean. Imagine the strength needed to hold up a structure, against the constant battering of mighty waves. The bolts do their job valiantly.

But, the salty air and moisture slowly rust them away.

No matter how strong, pretty, or healthy we may be, we will eventually fall apart, as the wagon wheel of time moves ahead.

Let's be humble.

How true on both accounts and a lot to think about how nature and humans work together. Good job.
