after the parade

The world is your oyster

you can do anything you set your mind to.

But don’t bite off more than you can chew,

You can’t have your cake and eat it too.

A perfect storm.

She watches on from the sidelines

wishing she too could atop the horse.

He charges down the field

Bold, Impressive … wild.

There’s madness in his method,

A penny saved was a penny earned-

Less was more,

Now more is better

More is best.

He consumes air to breathe

His muscled frame pounding

the ground beneath him

His hard grimace flicks only to slight

content at triumph.

The proof is in the pudding,

Throw caution to the wind on

a rainy day.

You’ll reap your harvest beyond the wilderness.

Unknowingly, Jungle minds roam

Seeking their hidden prey

A film camera, an Apple watch, a light up keyboard,

A bicycle with light up tires,

A lava lamp, a model of Pompeii that spits out fake

Lava, a promotion, a 42km running race-

Quiet chasing, feeding then pillaging ensues.
