Why does life have to run on time
Why do I have to wait for opportunities
Why do things close and open on a certain date
Life shouldn't have to be a chase
But I'm sorry that is not the case
I’m missing deadlines
I couldn't focus on too many things at the same time
Why do they act like experience doesn’t come with time
So many rejections, but I know I’ll be fine
Just waiting on my time to shine
Whoever said this wouldn't be hard lied
Trying to make sure a tear don’t slide
I got to keep my head held high
Remember every good thing takes time

Day 4 of Quitting
If this is how sobriety feels, maybe it’s better to go through life a little buzzed… this, along with other hits like, I want to kill myself, I wish I was dead, and I’m going to throw myself off a bridge have been the only thoughts on rotation these past few days. I promise myself that if, in a month, I still feel like this (‘this’ meaning despondent, full of rage, and simultaneously numb) I can go back to smoking. Until mid-February though? Nicotine is off the table.
