The rules of love are etched in air,

Invisible yet always there,

In every glance and tender touch,

A silent code that means so much.

Love demands a heart that’s true,

A spirit brave, a constant view,

To cherish both the highs and lows,

To nurture as the garden grows.

Patience, kindness, trust profound,

In love’s embrace, these must be found,

Forgiveness, too, a vital part,

To heal the wounds, to mend the heart.

Respect each other’s hopes and dreams,

Together, strong, they take a stand.

Love’s rules may shift and often bend,

But in the end, they simply mend,

Elegy
