Roses and Thorns

Roots and Branches Challenge

A look at a rosebush and what do you see

A little bit of you, and a little bit of me

From the rose that is a beauty and is multiplied many times over

From the leaves that are green, and ones that are red

To the thorns that are hidden in everyone's life

Don't let the rose fool you, it's beauty has everyone in awe

That you will have difficult times, HE said in the book, that HE left you

And it's leaves show you the life, that your story is untold

The Rose is what HE wanted for you, but how would you appreciate the Rose

If you hadn't experienced the thorns

The triumphs and victories, that is your Rose to be seen

And the leaves are like the branches of every day life

And the promise of a rainbow that HE has made to you

That HE would not punish by storms again

However, last but not least

Do not ever fear the thorns

Because that is what keeps you coming back to HIM
