Rose Bloom

A Collection

Take a walk

With me

Through

A garden

Made just for

Me and you

** ** ** ** **

One, two

Just for you

Three, four

Makes you want more

Five, six

A little color in the mix

Seven, eight

Don’t you dare be late

Nine, ten

Roses grow again

** ** ** ** ** **

Rose petal stew

A delicacy for

Any shrew

With just the right

Hint of sweetness

** ** ** ** ** **

She wore a rosebud on her lapel

And had rose petals in her hair

As she walked the quiet paths

Of the garden calling to her love

With eyes as blind as the night

And a voice as silent as the sky

She walks alone along the paths

Forever calling out to her love

Come near, sit a spell, and listen to tales of old as I sit and rock by my fire. I'll serve you some cocoa and cookies as I tell you of the time long gone by when your Greats-greats once lived.

I do you believe you rose to the occasion for this one, Mother, & petalled your way home.

  • Oh I hope she finds her love. Loved your poems!
