In the heart of a nation, divided by race,

Stood Rosa Parks, with quiet grace.

On a Montgomery bus, in the year of '55,

She took a stand, to keep hope alive.

With courage in her heart, and strength in her stride,

Rosa refused to give in to injustice's tide.

She sat in her seat, with dignity and pride,

A symbol of resistance, where freedom abides.

Her act of defiance, sparked a flame,

In the fight for equality, she staked her claim.

With each step forward, she led the way,

In the struggle for justice, come what may.

Arrested and jailed, but unbowed she stood,

As her actions echoed through the neighborhood.

The Montgomery Bus Boycott, a testament to her will,

As people united, with a common thrill.

Rosa Parks, a beacon in the night,

A voice for justice, shining bright.

Her legacy lives on, in the hearts of all,

As we continue to answer freedom's call.

So let us remember Rosa's name,

And honor her courage, in the hall of fame.

For in the fight for justice, she played her part,

A symbol of hope, in every heart.
