Rona

Lisa

By George ReidPublished 6 years ago 1 min read

We do not know ,

all the numbers, the tragedies,

the names, even some families,

We do not know.

We do not know.

How many, died using up every penny.

No insurance? Non-importance!

No insidious interference!

No incendiary performance.

No mask!

How many died? Ask the Mona Lisa.

She’s not telling.

How many lied? She’s not yelling.

Rona Lisa, is this what you intended, Michelangelo?

I mean she has class and a mask ,

but is this what you intended?

Silence?

She keeps the room in silence.

Silently we wander as she wonders,

how many?

How many more will die?

Can you hear her sigh?

Many fail to comply.

It’s not a tall task.

It’s just a simple thing she asks.

Did you have to be taken to task?

It’s simple, wear your mask .

’Rona knows no favorite .

Has no favorite Mr .

Swept through a few ”A” listers .

“Be on the lookout,“ says Rona Lisa .
