I told her;
she wouldn't listen.
She had been an RN…
Women couldn't control
these things. They were natural.
Men refuse to acknowledge that.
They say we can, so now…
Miscarriages are our fault!
I have PCOS.
The syndrome symptoms vary
for each woman, however,
all include extraordinary pain
and irregular menstrual cycles.
My body
REFUSES
to hold an egg.
Why?
I never stop bleeding.
The flow rises and swells
well beyond the “usual” amount
then dips to drips.
I'm always bleeding…
Even during ovulation.
That's “normal” for PCOS.
PCOS causes infertility for
5 million women
of reproductive age
in the U S alone…
Due to miscarriage.
We didn't ask for this.
It's dangerous losing vast amounts of…
Blood.
A person is only allowed to
donate blood or plasma
twice a week
or they will get anemic.
I bleed every day.
One thing will both save me
and prevent miscarriages:
Birth control
Do you see CONTROL in the name?
It helps regulate our bleeding,
blocks ovulation and lowers
the chance of pregnancy,
along with abortion and miscarriage.
Why do you want to ban it then?
Why isn't it more available
and free?!
Freedom to choose
to be a mother or not.
Men have a choice with
rubber facades or rape.
Who gets to choose is unbalanced.
Reproductive Rights:
The right to be Healthy
and Happy without regulation.
Emergency surgery for
ectopic pregnancies
is NOT abortion.
It is impossible for the egg to grow
without killing the mother.
So many more will die
from your willful ignorance to
LET US CHOOSE!
You call yourself Pro-Life
while giving a Death Sentence to:
women without control of their bodies,
women pregnant from rape or incest, and
children whose bodies won't survive.
Why do you insist on making women suffer
for an act that takes TWO people and
may not be consensual?
Women are punished for having sex;
Yet men are praised for it.
Women with high body counts are “whores”;
But the guys are “players”…
Some of whom are into rape.
You remove our control over our bodies
and then punish us
for not having control.
I told her all this;
she wouldn't listen.
“That's not something I can swallow,”
she skeptically said, shaking her head.
The Truth is hard to swallow.
