I have risen from the ashes
So many times before
As I’ve faced so many battles
Over the span of my life
A life filled with traumas
And accidents
Broken relationships
Plus bad bad health
Mental Illness and hospital
Auto-immune diseases
And hospital
Now cancer and it feels
I’m always at the hospital
So what gets me through each
Of my bad times?
What renews my soul
After every stormy fire?
It’s one simple word
Or rather one simple person
It’s my Godhead
The Three in One
That renews my soul like
A roaring fire
Burns away the muck
Leaving a fresh new me
That has learnt lessons
That changed and moulded me
And because of Him I can say
“Come at me, it won’t matter
Because thanks to Jesus
I will come back renewed to rise
From the ashes of my former life”
