you have the power deep inside
to share your love far and wide.
Be the light you wish to see
clear the path for destiny
motivate don't hesitate
tell the past to close the gate.
Rock bottom was hard, a real raw deal
but rise on up and take the wheel
strength in numbers helps you heal
so rise on up till love you feel.
Yeh rise up and embrace the new
yeh rise up, the world needs you
plant those dreams in a row
be inspired and watch them grow.
Rise Rise Rise and mesmerize
Rise Rise Rise lets energize

the world needs some healing light

Day 4 of Quitting
If this is how sobriety feels, maybe it’s better to go through life a little buzzed… this, along with other hits like, I want to kill myself, I wish I was dead, and I’m going to throw myself off a bridge have been the only thoughts on rotation these past few days. I promise myself that if, in a month, I still feel like this (‘this’ meaning despondent, full of rage, and simultaneously numb) I can go back to smoking. Until mid-February though? Nicotine is off the table.
