You are not the echoes

of old regrets,

not the scars that sting

in the silence of thought.

You are potential,

still unfolding.

You hold the pen—

the story is yours.

Not bound by yesterday,

but free in this moment

to write anew.

The past is a shadow,

a whisper of lessons

meant to teach,

not to chain.

We carry knowledge,

not weight.

Yes, we fall—

but in falling,

we rise again.

Mistakes are maps

guiding us forward.

Leave the past

in its place,

on the shelf

of memory and wisdom.

Turn the page.

Each morning

is a blank canvas.

Each breath—

an invitation

to begin again.

Author's Note:

This poem was born from a place of reflection and hope—a reminder that our past does not have to hold power over our future. We've all made mistakes, faced regret, and wished for second chances. But what matters most is what we choose to do with today.
