Rewilding Luminescence

A Poem

By D351Published 2 years ago 1 min read

When the light dies, we know there will be others

When electric chains and invisible fences finally fucking fail

We'll circle fires with friends and lovers

And erect a Sun within the night from burning bills and jails

On knees we'll crawl to find a peace as quiet as lost privilege

Eventually to be earned, through sweat and blood and love

And when we fall to fates unkind, let light be in the difference

With empathy and warmth to lift us from the mud

When the light dies, we will not wait in darkness

For parasites and psychopaths to reestablish power

But instead ignite for all our brightest beacons

To paradise now socialized, as bourgeois bastards cower
