Return to Normal Life
Are we there yet? Are we there yet?
As we go on this journey,
In our effort to be once again free,
We look forward to reaching that place,
Where there is no need for a masked face.
Are we there yet? Are we there yet?
The place where things are normal,
Where the land is dry and the grass is wet?
As we travel back to where we used to be,
Back to the way that we used to live,
Back to the vacation at the beach and sea,
So hard to forget and to forgive,
The time that we have all lost,
To the lives that have been sadly lost.
We can never ever claim back our lost time,
No matter where we live or where we climb.
As we go on this journey,
In our effort to be once again free,
We look forward to reaching that place,
Where there is no need for a masked face.
Are we there yet? Are we there yet?
The place where life is normal again,
The world where travel, work, and play are free,
A world where every person is once again free.
As we move forward to that place in time,
Life must go on every day and in every clime.
The world awakens from a long sleep,
Filled with fresh hope and promises to keep.
Are we there yet? Are we there yet?
The place where things are normal,
Where the land is dry and the grass is wet?
As we travel back to where we used to be,
Back to the way that we used to live,
Back to the vacation at the beach and sea.
Are we there yet? Are we there yet?
Where the air is pure and the fields are wet.
