The other day, I sat down and wrote you a letter.

I told you everything I will never say,

all the things I know if I really know you.

Every observation, every hope, every dream, every criticism,

I wrote it down, crumpled it up, and threw it away.

The other day, I sat down and made myself a promise.

I told myself everything needed to change,

all the things I have been doing to be there for you.

Every justification, every excuse, every and yet, every I love you,

I'm letting it all go, giving it up, and pushing it away.

sad poetry

It's good to let go of things and people that don't serve us anymore. But it's so hard at the same time! I hope you are well and have the strength, sending hugs.
