Resilience

Nature in Inverse

Nature

Full of Beauty

Monuments of something

Greater than we

Mountains and mesas

Prairies of gold and green

Redwood giants standing tall

Stretching arms in silent prayer

Simple hopes for survival

It all gets lost in

Torrential downpour

Flooding the world in tears

Raging fires, lightning born

Broken coyotes

Howling outrage at humanity

Lay beside asphalt rivers

These stark reminders

Flora and fauna lost

Created by human locusts

Manmade drought

Turning

Forests to metal wastelands

Connecting

Concrete anthills

Full of ingenuity

Cities.
