A black man's odyssey
In shadows cast on iron bars,
A black man dreams beneath prison stars.
A world of contrast, stark and cold
Within white walls, his story unfolds.
Echoes of struggle, a history's weight,
Yet resilience rises, define fate.
In prison's grasp, an unjust hold,
His spirit, a narrative bold.
Within the silence, he finds a voce,
A testament of strength and choice.
Not defined by walls or color's hue,
His character steadfast, tried and true.
In each sunrise, a hope reborn,
In each setback, a spirit worn.
Through the monotony of time confined.
His resilience, an unwavering mind.
For in the crucible of adversity,
A black man's spirit finds tenacity.
Beyond the bars, his dreams take flight,
A testament to the strength of night.
