Resilience

A poem of hope

By Vivian ClarkePublished 4 years ago 1 min read

"O fear not in a world like this,

And thou shalt know erelong,

Know how sublime a thing it is

To suffer and be strong."-Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Be strong, my heart.

Be strong, my soul.

Stay kind!

Stay good!

Stay fierce!

Stay bold!

Never let it win.

Never let it take hold.

Stay soft in heart,

Shut out the cold.

Refuse to be hardened,

And any less than yourself.

Hold yourself together,

Time will help.

The scars will thicken

And eventually fade.

Let the memories be lessons,

Mere cloudy days.

The sun will come back;

Appreciate its rays.

You know the truth.

Let that be your way.
