Remembering Jimmy Carter

In a quiet town, a humble soul,

A farmer’s heart, a noble goal.

With kindness woven into his deeds,

He served the people, planted seeds.

A president with a guiding hand,

For peace and justice, he took a stand.

Through trials faced, he stood up tall,

Compassion echoed in his call.

With heart and hope, he led the way,

For brighter tomorrows, a brighter day.

In gardens grown and homes restored,

His legacy lives on, forever adored.

Now we remember, with love and grace,

A life well-lived, a warm embrace.

Though he’s departed, his spirit stays,

In our hearts and in our days.

The world is sad to hear this news,

Rest in peace, good sir, we’ll cherish you.

He contributed greatly to the destruction of the evil empire. It's a pity there aren't people like him anymore.

Great poem on a great man. I wrote a drabble on him today in Critique.
