Drawn to you in the dark night by the sound of your cries - Remember this

Silky soft golden hair rests softly on my cheek - One day it'll be a memory

the scent of lavender and baby triggering my olfactory - Just a memory

Your cheeks are salty as I kiss the nightmare away - That I will miss.

I watch your beautiful perfection as you fall back asleep - Remember this.

This beautiful poem brought tears to my eyes. So very lovely and such a wonderful tribute to motherhood.
