Compatibility isn't about being the same age, having identical personalities, or sharing every interest. Instead, it's about the mutual desire to stay together and the shared joy of being in each other's presence.

The biggest mismatch in a relationship is when one person doesn't cherish it as much as the other. If your partner doesn't value the relationship, they won't be willing to compromise or work with you. A true partnership means working together, but if you're the only one making adjustments, you're just giving in from beginning to end.

Only work with someone who is truly compatible with you, and only adjust for someone who cherishes you. The real dedication you should give to a relationship isn't about pleasing your partner, but about working hard together toward a shared happiness.
